On June 21, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace and addressing the increased risk to employees in settings where suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients are treated. The 916-page document includes requirements for protective practices and policies related to physical space, equipment, and facilities. The ETS will remain in place for the next six months.
