Compliance training is one of the essential elements of an effective compliance program.
In 2017, the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued the “Measuring Compliance Program Effectiveness – A Resource Guide (2017)” to Assist Health Care Organizations in Assessing the Effectives of Their Compliance Programs. In that guide, the OIG identified seven key areas of an effective compliance program which include the following.
- Standards, Policies, and Procedures
- Compliance Program Administration
- Screening and Evaluation of Employees, Physicians, Vendors and Other Agents
- Communication, Education, and Training on Compliance Issues
- Monitoring, Auditing, and Internal Reporting Systems
- Discipline for Noncompliance
- Investigations and Remedial Measures
As seen above, education and training on compliance issues is one of the key areas of an effective compliance program. To this end, Realty Trust Group has created this Healthcare Real Estate Compliance Training Seminar to help healthcare providers’ real estate personnel understand the relevant laws and regulations, common real estate compliance pitfalls, and best practice recommendations to help them do their work in a compliant manner. The Real Estate Compliance Training Seminar, approximately 2.5 hours in length, will cover the following topics:
- Applicable Healthcare Real Estate Laws
- Healthcare Real Estate Case Studies
- Real Estate Fair Market Value Best Practices
- Commercial Reasonableness Best Practices
- Transactional Compliance Pitfalls
- Operational Compliance Pitfalls
- Best Practice Recommendations
- Elements of an Effective Real Estate Compliance Program
Upon the completion of the on-demand course, the attendees will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate of completion can and should be saved in the attendees’ respective employee files so that, if needed, their employers can evidence the real estate compliance training their employees have received.
